Mobile onboarding

Set up the app, keyboard, and share sheet in order.

Start in the native app, enable the keyboard so you can save and paste without leaving whatever app you are in, and use Share for links and pages from Safari.

Read setup steps

Step 1

Browse synced text

Open History or Library, search at the top, then tap a row to copy it. Pull to refresh when you are waiting on sync.

Step 2

Create clips and templates

Tap +, write the reusable text, and use Add Variable for placeholders such as {{name}}. Empty variables stay visible in preview until filled.

Step 3

Enable the keyboard

Add TurboClipboard in Apple Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards, then allow Full Access so the keyboard can open your encrypted library to save and paste clips.

Step 4

Save from Share

Use the system Share sheet to send supported text, URLs, and webpage links to TurboClipboard Library.

Step 5

Use iPad layout

Open the app in full screen or regular width to get the sidebar, wider rows, Library and History counts, and Settings access. With a hardware keyboard, Command-1 and Command-2 switch Library and History and Command-comma opens Settings.

Step 6

Choose appearance

Use System, Light, or Dark in Settings. The app and TurboClipboard keyboard use adaptive system colors.

Step 7

Browse smart folders

Smart folders you save on Mac sync to iPhone and iPad, so a saved search or tag filter is one tap away on every device.

Step 8

Understand rich-capture boundaries

Mac images stay local by default and require an explicit per-image sync opt-in. Images you opt in sync encrypted and show up on iPhone and iPad alongside your text history. File references, app-object captures, and sensitive clips never sync.

Browse history and library

Search synced clipboard history, saved clips, pinned items, smart folders, and templates from the native iPhone and iPad app.

On-device categories and summaries

Rows pick up on-device category badges and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence summaries the moment they are captured — matching the Mac.

Paste from the keyboard

Switch to TurboClipboard in any text field to paste history or saved clips without bouncing between apps.

Save from the keyboard

The keyboard saves as well as pastes. One tap keeps whatever you just copied; another keeps the text you have selected. You never leave the app you are in, and anything that looks like a password or key is skipped automatically.

Fill templates inline

Tap a template, enter values one by one, preview the filled result, and insert it directly into the active app.

Capture from Share

Save text and links from Safari, Notes, Mail, and any other app straight from the iOS share sheet. Anything that looks like a password or code is skipped automatically.

Shortcuts and automation

Run TurboClipboard from the Shortcuts app: save the clipboard, save text, copy the most recent clip, transform the clipboard, search Library or History, render a template, and Apply Transform Pipeline to run a saved pipeline — on-device AI steps included.

Encrypted device sync

When sync is enabled, iCloud carries encrypted clip records while iCloud Keychain protects the shared key. Sensitive clips never sync.

System, Light, and Dark

Appearance follows the device by default, or you can force Light or Dark for TurboClipboard and the iOS keyboard.

iPad-native layout and keyboard

The iPad app uses a sidebar with Library and History counts, plus a wider browsing interface with search, full-width rows, and tablet-scale spacing. A hardware keyboard adds Command-1/Command-2 to switch Library and History and Command-comma to open Settings, and a trackpad or Magic Keyboard shows a pointer hover effect on rows, pinned cards, and the sidebar.

Meaning-based search

Where the on-device model is present, iPhone and iPad blend semantic matches into search after the fuzzy results, so clips can surface by meaning even when the exact words differ. It runs on-device and stores nothing.

Accessibility and sync recovery

TurboClipboard honors Reduce Motion by skipping the copy-confirmation pulse. A device stuck waiting on the iCloud Keychain key can continue locally with Use Without Sync or Start Fresh, instead of blocking until the key arrives.

Privacy and intelligence toggles

Settings lets you control secret detection, smart categories, and on-device summaries. The share sheet respects the secret filter too, and these settings sync with your Mac so every device agrees.
